Do Canadians need a visa for Egypt?

Yes, as a Canadian the Egypt visa is a mandatory requirement to be able to enter the country.

However, the Egypt visa cannot be applied for online by Canadian citizens: the only way to obtain the Egypt visa for Canadians is through the nearest Egyptian Embassy or Consulate. You will need to go in person, having made an appointment in advance.

The Egypt visa stopped being issued online for Canadian citizens on October 1, 2023. If you applied online before that, your visa will remain valid until its original expiration date.

You will need to contact the Egyptian Embassy or Consulate in Canadian soil to know for certain what the requirements are. However, the basic requirements to apply for the Egypt visa if you’re a Canadian citizen are:

A valid passport. It must have a remaining validity of 6 months from the travel date, as well as blank pages for the entry stamp.

The single entry Egypt visa will allow you to stay in the country for up to 30 days. On the other hand, the multiple entry visa allows for stays of up to 90 days.
